Attacking Male Sexuality

Male identity is one of the fundamental drivers of the MGTOW movement; which, for anyone returning to this planet after a decade of vacation, is a growing pathway of masculine self-identity in which men are rejecting a statist, a collectivist, feminist or even a female-approved definition of what constitutes a man.
Instead, MGTOW men, or Zeta males, are defining their own identities as men – without much regard for the convenience and utility of those identities to outsiders, to women or to a runaway state. It is, in fact, a revolution of thought in which men declare themselves human beings of worth – and don’t ask permission or apologize or allow anyone else to devalue their humanity in preference to their utility.

Male sexuality is of course both demonized and treated as a form of predation, but also strictly limited to a narrow set of acceptable expressions. Outside of sexual identities which place men in positions to benefit women as sexual gate-keepers, masculine sexuality is generally condemned.

This is evident in the frequent use of rhetorical attack on male sexuality as a go-to response to criticism of feminist dogma. Almost as popular as “you just hate women” is a catalog of ad hominem attacks reducing to “small penis, mother’s basement dwelling, and unemployed virgin”. These standard and frankly boringly predictable insults all relate to a man’s inability to gain access to sex, or in the case of an imputed tiny penis – to perform sexually.

The most absurd and telling indictment of this most puerile insult is that the accusation of sexual failure is nothing more than a reflection of the feminine sexual selection of whatever woman offers such commentary. Oh, you don’t fancy me? I can assure you darling, I completely understand just how you feel.

However, there is a thread of opinion with a growing currency among some MRAs which rejects the legitimacy of men whose self identity and sexuality is gay or bisexual, or indeed, transsexual.

Some of the rhetoric around this refers in condemning tones to the “gay agenda”, which as nearly as I can tell, includes such radical notions as “let’s not beat up or murder gay men” and the equally shocking “let’s extend to gay men and women the same legal rights everybody else has” and so on. If that’s the gay agenda – as a MRA, or just as a decent human being, then I’m behind it.

Sometimes scriptural argument is invoked in the condemnation of gays, bisexuals, and anyone else whose sexual identity is non-heterosexual.

None of the other obsolete rules of ancient holy writings are given modern credence, but gay men are heaped with scorn and contempt and scripture is used to justify it? I don’t have much to say to this attitude besides grow up and get over it.

Male sexual identity is both policed and vilified in a feminized culture and some MRAs are now doing what amounts to the same thing. These are men (and women) whose sexuality, either chosen or not, doesn’t conform to an acceptable standard – and some within the MRM would demonize them. Gentlemen and ladies – this is nothing short of stupid.

At what point does who an individual finds sexually attractive diminish their value as a human? How is it that a man whose preference doesn’t include vagina becomes less of a man? Conversely, are we going to pretend the sexual preferences of our female colleagues matter in the context of partnership in the fight for the human rights of men and boys?

The valuation of human beings, of men and women, based on who they’d like to fuck or what kind of orifice they prefer is stupid and has no place in the men’s rights movement, or at AVfM.
Admittedly, some people might find the prospect of non-heterosexuality alien, foreign, and unappealing. As a much younger man, having inherited the prejudices of the era I grew up in, I was perplexed and scandalized to receive the occasional flirtatious attention of gay men. But then I grew up, and got over it. Isn’t it time for this human rights movement to do the same?

If we don’t get over it, then this is not a men’s rights movement, it’s a straight men’s movement. Or, it’s a white men’s movement, or maybe, a tall men’s movement, or a republican men’s movement. For myself, I find these narrow categories and self-selected separations to be unhelpful, and irrelevant in a larger fight for the humanity, and the human rights of men and boys. In the phrase “gay men”, gay is an adjective, and men is the noun.

When men are not expected to die without complaint any time higher gas prices make it inconvenient for soccer moms to drive from their gated community to the local grass pitch, or any other time men’s utility trumps their humanity, well then maybe I’ll entertain the usefulness of keeping the gays or the darkies out of the club house. On the other hand, maybe I’ll still think it’s a stupid argument. But I do know that for a so called men’s rights movement to marginalize men based on who they want in their bed – well, it’s beneath us.

  1. Yeah, and who defines what is masculine? You? Fuck that, and fuck anyone who tells me I'm not their definition "of a man".

  2. The accusation of homophobia is one of the favorite lies of opponents of the MRM. When you point them to writers like B.R. Merrick or Phil in Utah over at AVfM, they stick their fingers ion their ears, because that's their level of honesty.

Homophobia is tradcon misandry, and it has no place in the MRM.

  3. John, You are really quite good at doing response videos... Is there any chance you could address this psycho?

She has 24k subscriptions after barely a month, probably because she looks and dresses like a highly-paid hooker.

    2. the first attack of hers I was ever aware of started from the foundation that im fundamentally a lousy, uninteresting writer. After that it took me entire seconds to realize any engagement with her was a waste of everybody's time, particularly my own

  7. Great job, this is the argument I've been having regularly in MRA comments.

Half the time feminists spew bullshit, the other half right wing nut jobs try to make the MRM into a politically partisan movement.

I was told I was a feminist because I'm a socialist. (in the UK it's not a slur, it's a mainstream political affiliation, same with "liberal" as a term)

I know for a fact I disagree with the politics of many respected and good MRA's (you crazy libertarians :D) but I have nothing but respect for them, and their great work.

It's very odd that you have to defend such obvious and fair positions ><

Thanks for the awesome content and all your efforts! <3

  8. Sorry John but your otherwise well thought remarks aren't present in your defense of the recent hijack of AVFM by gay men.

There are plenty of sites available for gay men to gain support for their cause(s). While I have no problem with them pursuing their civil rights I do see them as a major distraction to men's rights issues. Like feminism the LGBT community has been supported by covert enterprises. Just as Gloria Steinem was kept afloat by CIA these same dark forces LOVE the gay movement.

When we perceive gay rights as so god damned important as the media tries to portray them we ignore the deaths and maiming of the straight males who fight all the wars and die on the job (98% of war dead, 97% of job elated deaths ae men).

AVFM's recent sellout to gay rights activists undermines the men's rights organism possibly as much or more so than feminism does. If we are to welcome LGBT's with open arms we're saying that the "right" of them to marry or serve openly in the military is more important than the mass enslavement, persecution, death and maiming of straight males.

I'm not buying it John. You don't have to eliminate gay men from participation in the MRM (No pussy whipped "H" in middle) but we needn't cater to and sellout to them.

Afterthought: I used to dislike AVFM posting the words of Bernard Chapin, a right winger whom despite his extremist views on liberals has at least a few good thoughts on men's rights. Now however? Through censorship and the apparent takeover of AVFM he can no longer post there.

Odds are that AVFM has been compromised by subversive well funded CIA type covert funding. Like Huffington Post. Most revolutionary movements will last only up and until they start becoming effective. At that point subterfuge and internal corruption (either caused by outside trojan horse or internal bickering/greed) will render them just a shell of their former self.

  10. We are BIG enough to include gays and trans. females, ALL females with RED PILL diets, even the marginally insane radial 'misogynists' FOR CAUSE, (scratch any truly angry person and you'll find a fear-based reactionary), even the broken and ruined men who happen to find such truth saying. Few come 'here' in strength or perfection, full internal locus of control, errors few and not life defacing.

I fear for my sons, (2#) innocent of the dangers... like toddlers with metal toys small enough to stick in electrical sockets... 'never stick your dick in crazy' lads, and they are ALL crazy by socialized misandry...and I train my daughters (2#) of the evil they are encouraged to 'think' then do with impunity, if at THEIR PERIL. And my disapprobation!

I am 60+. I witnessed how our society, media, technology, social standards, 'public opinion', the government (read: money, power, control, 'law') sloowwwllly evolved by some invisible breast-in-hand controls.

Male sexuality, fully normal, IS seen as a perversion, criminalized. Love-hated, schizoid, but mostly rejected.
What was once a hush-hush yuk notion of gay, lesbian, bi, trans. sexual expression is now more so normalized. In YOUR face, loud rights (winning!) movement. The 10%.

Frankly, some of that gay SUCCESS ought to be borrowed upon to recover the inalienable dignity of the everyday man, also. Inevitable.

It almost reads as inconceivable/horrible that a male at birth today, will BE taught in degraded second-class citizenship, by the time he finished daycare at 4, and then ongoing... you know the 'plan' 'they' made for us all.

Thank You John for being such an elegant communicator, and your efforts with AVfM.... w

Will this Blog be added to also, soon? WELL DONE indeed.

  12. I watch these exchanges with the same reaction that I would a bad car wreck with multiple fatalities. The problem with many of the followers of the MRM (Men's Rights Movement) is that they completely miss the train that takes them to the battlefield. Whereas our intellectual side expressed via the keyboard on our laptops and tablets may be important to the fight (and trust me, it is a fight, ask any man who has gone through a divorce or lost custody of his children.) The real battlefield is in the court room,(ie the place where men go to lose their rights as husbands, fathers and men) and when we get to take our fight to that venue, we MUST present a face if inclusivity. Lets not forget that justice "The Lady Justice" (lets NOT kid ourselves here) is blindfolded and "she" carries a set of scales in " her" hand. I regularly hear straight women (the backbone of the feminist movement) belittle gay men, this is a terrible flaw in the character of their movement. This weakness must be exploited.
